£1 million investment up for grabs for Kent businesses

17 November 2008
Small businesses in Kent are to benefit from a £1 million investment from KOS Media designed to showcase the positive role the media can play especially in difficult economic times.

A bumper package of free advertising, marketing and PR is up for grabs under the award-winning publisher's new scheme titled Kent Business Challenge 2009, which has been well received by local businesses.

"We have received hundreds of emails of support from across the spectrum and it has been uplifting to see so much enthusiasm for our initiative," said KOS Media's managing director Paul Stannard.

Through ten categories in the challenge, charities, public sector organisations, new businesses and tourist industries can win the year long package.

The initiative is aimed at promoting local businesses and this "will help stimulate business and put a high premium on innovation and enterprise", according to Roger Truelove, Labour's shadow spokesman for regeneration.

Businesses have been advised to take an opportunity to fight the recession by taking advantage of the scheme, which can raise the profile of businesses' products and services.

KOS Media is the publisher of Kent on Sunday, the Saturday Observer and the Yourlocal midweek papers.ADNFCR-1584-ID-18879843-ADNFCR
